Salary: $1,500 USD/month paid via Payoneer

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Remote Accounting & AR/AP Specialist to manage the day-to-day accounting functions of their company. This role is essential to maintaining healthy financial operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll coordination, and customer/vendor communications. The position also acts as a liaison for HR inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate communication across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions, including invoicing, collections, vendor bills, and payments.
  • Oversee and respond to the accounting email inbox; communicate directly with vendors and customers regarding billing and payment inquiries.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoices across Service Fusion and QuickBooks Online (systems do not directly sync).
  • Answer incoming calls to the accounting phone line and respond appropriately.
  • Run payroll accurately and on time; coordinate with HR for updates, time-off requests, and employee questions (escalating issues to management as needed).
  • Support the leadership team with ad-hoc accounting tasks as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies

  • Proven experience with QuickBooks Online (required).
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems; familiarity with Service Fusion is a plus but not required.
  • Experience managing AR/AP functions in a small-to-medium business environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Previous experience working remotely with a high level of independence and accountability.
  • Technology-savvy: Comfortable with digital tools and platforms.
  • Detail-oriented & organized: Accuracy in financial records and meeting deadlines.
  • Professional communicator: Courteous but firm when handling collections.
  • Problem solver: Proactive in identifying and resolving discrepancies.
