An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and detail-focused Senior Payroll Officer to join a busy finance function based in Crumlin. This role is ideal for a payroll professional who enjoys end-to-end responsibility, working to high standards of accuracy and compliance while supporting both employees and management with payroll expertise.

What You’ll Do:

  • Process end-to-end UK and ROI payrolls in-house
  • Liaise with external payroll providers, accountants, and finance teams for international payrolls
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records and master data
  • Produce payroll input and reporting using Time Management System (TMS) data
  • Execute salary payments via BACS and bank transfer
  • Issue payslips and statutory documents including P45s and P60s
  • Process Benefits in Kind through payroll and submit relevant HMRC returns
  • Administer childcare voucher schemes and maintain accurate records
  • Assess employees for pension auto-enrolment after each payroll run
  • Upload and remit pension contributions for auto-enrolment and GPPP schemes via Aegon
  • Prepare pension and payroll reconciliations
  • Manage queries from HMRC, CSA, NICO, and other statutory bodies
  • Maintain statutory payment records including SSP, SMP, SPP and SAP
  • Respond to employee payroll queries professionally and efficiently
  • Produce payroll and compliance reports for management as required

What We’re Looking For:

  • GCSEs or equivalent education (essential)
  • Proven experience processing UK payroll
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory compliance
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels

Desirable:

  • Payroll or finance-related qualification
  • Experience supporting or coordinating international payrolls
