A well established employer based in the Northwest region are seeking to appoint a Senior Accountant to their finance team, reporting to the Financial Controller and overseeing a small team of finance staff. This is an ideal opportunity for a Qualified Accountant with previous experience in an industry setting, with an excellent salary/benefits package available. The role is varied and offers exposure to all areas of this dynamic business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own ledger accounting across multiple business units, including journals, reconciliations and core month-end activities
- Review and approve journals and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring strong controls and segregation of duties
- Lead and develop a team of junior finance staff
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policy and statutory requirements, supporting audit and tax processes
- Oversee payroll activities and support processing when required
- Partner with the wider business to deliver accurate reporting, budgeting, forecasting and value-adding financial insight
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
