About the Job

Working closely with the Tax Director, the Tax Manager will play a key role in the preparation and delivery of complex tax advisory work across both personal and corporate taxation.

  • Support the Tax Director with the preparation and delivery of high-quality tax advice.
  • Take an active role in the end-to-end delivery of complex tax advisory projects.
  • Prepare clear, well-structured and technically accurate written tax advice and reports.
  • Advise Owner Managed Businesses and their owners on a range of personal and corporate tax matters.
  • Support Private Client tax planning including Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax and income extraction.
  • Assist with wider tax planning and restructuring projects for businesses and their shareholders.
  • Support Corporate Tax advisory projects including group restructures, reorganisations and demergers.
  • Draft tax clearance applications and technical advice documents.
  • Gain exposure to share schemes, remuneration planning and purchase of own shares.
  • Support ERS reporting and ATED matters where required.
  • Undertake detailed technical research and apply findings to individual client scenarios.
  • Act as a technical point of contact for colleagues across the wider business.
  • Liaise directly with clients and internal teams to gather information and progress assignments.
  • Manage workflow and ensure advisory projects are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Contribute to the development of internal technical knowledge and best practice.
  • Assist with complex compliance work during busy periods where required.
  • Support disclosure work and HMRC enquiries where necessary.
  • Build strong client relationships and deliver a high standard of client service.
  • Previous Experience
  • CTA qualified with post-qualification experience in a tax advisory role.
  • Strong UK tax technical knowledge across Private Client, OMB and/or Corporate Tax.
  • Previous experience advising Owner Managed Businesses and their shareholders would be highly desirable.
  • Alternatively, strong private client or corporate tax advisory experience will be considered.
  • Experience with private client planning including IHT, CGT and income extraction would be advantageous.
  • Proactive, hands‑on approach with the ability to drive advisory projects forward independently.
