This role is ideal for an experienced Payroll Administrator or Payroll Specialist who is looking to further develop their career within a supportive, well-structured payroll function, with strong internal training and long-term progression opportunities available. About the Job Working within a busy payroll team, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with and completing the following duties: End-to-end payroll processing on a weekly, fortnightly, or monthly basis Accurate processing of starters, leavers, and amendments including salary changes, overtime, and deductions Ensuring payroll is processed in line with HMRC legislation and company policies Calculation and submission of PAYE, National Insurance, pension contributions, and statutory payments Processing SSP, SMP, SPP, and other statutory absences Reconciling payroll control accounts Responding to payroll queries from employees and internal stakeholders Maintaining accurate payroll records and employee data Supporting year-end processes including P60s, P11Ds, and audits Assisting with payroll reporting and analysis Other payroll and finance duties as they arise Your Skills & Experience Previous experience in a busy payroll environment is essential Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation and HMRC requirements Experience using payroll systems and good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Evidence of analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities For further information on this opportunity, or if you are considering the next step in your payroll career, get in touch withOllie Mairsat HireIQ in complete confidence.
