About the Job
This is a key role within the Finance team, responsible for delivering accurate, efficient, and compliant payroll services across multiple jurisdictions. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the successful candidate will play an integral part in ensuring staff are paid correctly and on time, while also supporting process improvements and compliance initiatives.
Duties will include:
- Managing the end-to-end processing of weekly and monthly payrolls (UK & ROI)
- Ensuring compliance with legislation, HMRC requirements, and company policies
- Processing statutory entitlements, allowances, benefits, and bonuses
- Overseeing pension administration and auto-enrolment processes
- Preparing journals, reconciliations, and year-end returns
- Reviewing and authorising staff expenses
- Acting as a point of contact for payroll queries, providing advice and support
- Supporting the development of payroll procedures and systems to improve efficiency
Your Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a Payroll Specialist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance (UK & ROI desirable)
- Proficiency in payroll and finance systems
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and organisational abilities, with the ability to manage sensitive information confidentially
