HireIQ are delighted to be working with a long standing client as they hire for a Management Accountant. Our client is a leading business and you will be based just outside of Newry. Now is a great time to join their team as they look to further add to their finance function. This is an ideal role for a Qualified Accountant who is 1-3 years post qualified & keen to take their step up in their career!
About the job:
- Preparation of management accounts on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines.
- Preparation of financial statements and reports for review.
- Work with team members to support financial data analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, transaction entries, and documentation in compliance with company accounting systems.
- Assist in the coordination of external audits and manage audit queries to ensure a smooth and successful audit process.
- Provide support in ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.
About you:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Proficiency in accounting software - PowerBi advantageous
- Strong IT skills particularly Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess excellent attention to detail, problem solving and organisational skills
