About the Job
- Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of the company's accounts function.
- Managing the full accounts function from purchase ledger through to financial reporting.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Managing purchase ledger and sales ledger processes.
- Bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring.
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
- Preparation and submission of CIS and RCT returns.
- Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Liaising with external accountants and auditors.
- Assisting with year-end accounts preparation.
- Monitoring financial controls and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Providing financial support and reporting to senior management.
Skills and Experience
- Part-qualified or newly qualified ACCA/CIMA, or Qualified by Experience (QBE).
- Previous experience within a similar accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of management accounts, VAT, and reconciliations.
- Experience with CIS/RCT returns is desirable.
