About the Job

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of the company's accounts function:

  • Managing the full accounts function from purchase ledger through to financial reporting.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Managing purchase ledger and sales ledger processes.
  • Bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring.
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
  • Preparation and submission of CIS and RCT returns.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Liaising with external accountants and auditors.
  • Assisting with year-end accounts preparation.
  • Monitoring financial controls and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Providing financial support and reporting to senior management.

Skills and Experience

  • Part-qualified or newly qualified ACCA/CIMA, or Qualified by Experience (QBE).
  • Previous experience within a similar accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of management accounts, VAT, and reconciliations.
  • Experience with CIS/RCT returns is desirable.
