Employment tax Manager/Senior Manager in Manchester

• Predominantly advisory-focused role with limited compliance responsibilities

• Lead employment tax advisory projects, including IR35 assessments, transactions, due diligence exercises and risk reviews
• Provide expert advice on PAYE, National Insurance Contributions, benefits, employment status and tax governance matters
• Act as a senior technical specialist supporting colleagues across audit, corporate tax and wider advisory teams
• Manage client relationships and act as a trusted adviser and key point of contact
• Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and support business development initiatives, proposals and pitches
• Mentor and develop junior team members, sharing technical expertise and best practice
• Ensure engagements are delivered to a high standard with effective risk management and timely completion
• Support the continued growth and development of the employment tax service offering

• CTA, ACA or equivalent professional qualification
• Significant experience delivering employment tax advisory services within a practice environment
• Strong technical knowledge across PAYE, NIC, benefits, expenses and employment status matters
• Proven experience leading complex projects and managing client relationships
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple service lines and provide internal technical support
• Strong commercial awareness with experience supporting business development activities
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills
• Proactive, solutions-focused and collaborative approach
