An excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join an established finance team leading supplier of commercial products and services.

About the Job

Reporting to the Company Accountant, the Accounts Assistant will be responsible for assisting with and completing the following duties:

  • Monitor and manage finance mailbox, ensuring queries are actioned promptly
  • Provide general administrative support within the finance office
  • Process Accounts Receivable including sales invoices, credit notes, receipts and month end statements
  • Process credit applications for new customers
  • Manage Accounts Payable including purchase orders, supplier invoices, reconciliations and payment runs
  • Assist with weekly and monthly management reporting
  • Assist with statutory returns including VAT, EC Sales and Intrastat
  • Complete month end bank and credit card reconciliations

Your skills & experience:

  • Minimum 5 GCSEs (A*C) including Maths and English
  • At least 2 years experience in a finance or accountancy role
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience with NetSuite is an advantage
