About the Job

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for assisting with and completing the following duties:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis
  • Support group reporting and intercompany reconciliations
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain financial records
  • Perform multi-currency bank reconciliations
  • Provide payroll cover when required
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Analyse manufacturing costs and performance with operations teams
  • Assist with accounts payable, receivable, and cash management
  • Prepare journals, accruals, and prepayments
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with financial controls

Previous experience:

  • Previous experience working in a busy office environment
  • Studying towards (or planning to pursue) a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
