About the Company

HireIQ are currently working with our Client based in Eglinton who are looking to appoint a Finance Assistant to join their established finance team. Due to continued growth across the business, our client is seeking to add an experienced Purchase Ledger professional who can support the wider finance function in a fast paced environment.

About the Job

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with and completing the following duties:

  • Post supplier invoices to the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate matching to purchase orders
  • Produce aged creditors reports on a monthly basis
  • Prepare and process monthly supplier payment runs
  • Monitor supplier payment deadlines and ensure timely payments
  • Complete supplier statement reconciliations
  • Investigate and resolve supplier queries efficiently
  • Create new supplier accounts and maintain accurate vendor records
  • Control and reconcile petty cash
  • Answer supplier queries and telephone calls professionally
  • Assist with finance and administration projects across the business
  • Provide ad hoc administrative support to the wider team

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience working within a busy Finance/ Purchase Ledger environment
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and efficiently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving ability
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
