About the Job
Reporting to the Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of the companies accounts function.
- Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Assisting with corporation tax computations and submissions
- Preparation of personal tax returns (Self Assessment)
- Preparation and review of VAT returns
- Supporting senior team members with client queries and ad hoc assignments
- Liaising directly with clients to obtain records and provide basic advice
- Ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and HMRC requirements
- CIS and PAYE calculations and submissions
Skills and Experience
- Part-qualified or qualified by experience
- Good understanding of UK accounting and tax principles
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of IRIS, TaxCalc, or similar practice software
