About the Job

Reporting to the Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of the companies accounts function.

  • Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
  • Assisting with corporation tax computations and submissions
  • Preparation of personal tax returns (Self Assessment)
  • Preparation and review of VAT returns
  • Supporting senior team members with client queries and ad hoc assignments
  • Liaising directly with clients to obtain records and provide basic advice
  • Ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and HMRC requirements
  • CIS and PAYE calculations and submissions

Skills and Experience

  • Part-qualified or qualified by experience
  • Good understanding of UK accounting and tax principles
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of IRIS, TaxCalc, or similar practice software
