About the Job
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for assisting with and completing the following duties:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis
- Support group reporting and intercompany reconciliations
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain financial records
- Perform multi-currency bank reconciliations
- Provide payroll cover when required
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Analyse manufacturing costs and performance with operations teams
- Assist with accounts payable, receivable, and cash management
- Prepare journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Support audits and ensure compliance with financial controls
Previous experience:
- Previous experience working in a busy office environment
- Studying towards (or planning to pursue) a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
