About the company:

HireIQ Finance are delighted to work with a long standing client in the County Down area as they seek to appoint a Financial Controller with this newly created position due to continued growth and expansion. This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious, hands-on finance professional to step into a number one role, leading a small, established finance team and reporting directly to the Board.

About the role:

  • Number one in finance, reporting directly to the Board with full ownership of the function
  • Key strategic partner, influencing growth, investment and commercial decision-making
  • Autonomy to shape and improve financial controls, processes and systems
  • Opportunity to build, lead and develop the finance team
  • Strong commercial exposure across contracts, margins, profitability and cost control
  • Full ownership of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cashflow
  • Lead Board reporting, delivering clear, commercially focused insights
  • Oversight of audit and external stakeholder relationships

Your Experience:

  • Qualified CIMA, ACA, ACCA - 5 years post qualified, 10 years + QBE
  • Proven experience operating at a senior level within finance
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and best practices
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and MS Outlook
  • Excellent administration skills, organised and able to prioritise workload
  • Possess excellent communication and problem solving skills
