This role is ideal for someone with strong accounts and transactional experience who is looking to further develop their career in a supportive environment, with hands-on experience across invoicing, journal posting, and month-end processes. About the Job Working within a busy finance department, the successful candidate will report to the Senior Finance Officer and will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end processes, and assisting with a range of general finance duties. Responsibilities include: General Duties Producing monthly invoices accurately and on time Maintaining and reconciling accounts in the Integra system Allocating receipts and payments to the correct accounts Managing queries from internal and external customers and clients Completing monthly balance sheet and account reconciliations Preparing and posting journals to financial systems Assisting the Senior Finance Officer with credit control across the organisation Supporting preparation of departmental monthly reports Assisting with the implementation and updating of policies, procedures, and processes Assisting with statutory and other returns to external bodies Liaising with auditors and other finance professionals as required Finance Department Support Supporting the financial accounting team with income and expenditure coding Contributing to the ongoing development of the Finance Strategy Providing guidance and support to Finance / Accounts Assistants within the department Deputising for the Senior Finance Officer when required Your Skills & Experience Previous experience in a finance or accounting role, including invoicing, journal posting, and account reconciliation Experience using financial systems Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proactive, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities For further information on this opportunity, or if you are considering the next step in your finance career, get in touch with Ollie Mairs at HireIQ in complete confidence.
