About the Role
This company delivers major projects across Ireland, the UK and Europe within sectors including data centres, pharmaceuticals and commercial construction. The successful candidate will support employees working on European projects, including long-term assignments in Sweden. The role will cover European payroll, shadow payroll, overseas tax reporting and international compliance. This is a commercially focused position involving close collaboration with Finance, HR and operational teams to support project costing and workforce planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing payroll requirements across Ireland and Europe
- Coordinating payroll for internationally mobile employees
- Managing shadow payroll arrangements
- Supporting overseas tax returns and compliance
- Supporting short- and long-term European assignments
- Liaising with payroll providers and tax advisers
- Reviewing payroll reports and reconciliations
- Advising Finance, HR and operational teams
- Providing payroll information for project costing
- Supporting payroll process and systems improvements
- Assisting with payroll reporting through Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Your Skills & Experience
- European or multi-jurisdictional payroll experience
- Knowledge of Irish and wider European payroll requirements
- Exposure to global mobility, shadow payroll or overseas assignments
- Strong payroll reconciliation and reporting skills
- Commercial awareness and confidence advising stakeholders
- Strong Excel and payroll systems experience
- CIPP, IPASS or a relevant qualification would be beneficial
