About the company

This established and highly recognised business in the Dungannon area are seeking to add a Cost Accountant to their finance function as a result of continued success with this newly created role. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a well-rounded position, offering a market leading salary and benefits package as well as huge potential for career progression within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse machine profitability and margins, providing meaningful insights to support commercial decision-making.
  • Lead the costing process for new product introductions, ensuring accurate and timely financial evaluation of new machines.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process through the preparation of detailed costing and operational analysis.
  • Manage inventory controls, including cycle count governance, inventory audits, stock accuracy and obsolete stock reviews.
  • Coordinate month-end inventory close activities and provide key information to support the financial close process.
  • Produce and maintain monthly spend, absorption and operational performance reports for management review.
  • Analyse direct labour performance and efficiencies, providing regular reporting and recommendations for improvement.
  • Support the Financial Controller in the preparation of management packs, KPI dashboards and site performance scorecards.
  • Deliver clear, concise and actionable financial information to non-finance stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements, maintaining robust procedures and supporting audit activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong IT Skills - Proficient in Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
