About the company:
HireIQ Finance are delighted to be working with this industry leading company based in the Newry area as they look to appoint an ambitious Head of Finance role. This is an influential and high-profile role presenting an exceptional opportunity for an experienced finance leader to take the next step in their career, working closely with and reporting directly to the Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, contributing to the success of the Operations function.
- Lead reporting across operations, including scorecard metrics, standard cost of production, variance analysis, and functional spend, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Leverage systems and data (including SAP) to identify opportunities for efficiency and value creation, applying learnings from current implementations and driving future developments.
- Lead and develop the Finance Team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Own the financial planning cycle for Operations, including cost reviews, budgets, reforecasts, and long-term projections.
- Provide insightful input into supply reviews and integrated business planning processes.
- Oversee cost efficiency and effectiveness initiatives across manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain.
- Drive improvements in working capital and return on capital through effective reporting and metrics.
- Deliver ad-hoc financial analysis to support decision making in procurement, supplier reviews, logistics, and cost structures.
Your Experience:
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with 5+ years post qual experience
- Proven senior finance experience, ideally within operations/supply chain environment
- Proven leadership and team development capabilities, coupled with excellent people management skills.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges and driving change.
- Strong ERP experience - SAP Desirable
