About the Job Working as part of a busy finance team, the Accounts Assistant will support a broad range of day-to-day accounting activities. This varied position offers excellent exposure across purchase ledger, sales ledger, payroll, reconciliations, VAT reporting and month-end processes.

Key Responsibilities

Processing sales and purchase transactions Maintaining accurate financial records Completing supplier statement reconciliations Reconciling company bank accounts Assisting with payroll processing Preparing VAT and Intrastat reports Supporting month-end processes Liaising with suppliers, customers and internal departments Providing finance support to the purchasing and sales teams Completing general accounts administration and maintaining accurate records Previous Experience Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role Experience working within a busy office environment Previous experience using Sage or similar accounting software Experience with VAT reporting and month-end processes Knowledge of Intrastat reporting Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel Excellent organisation and time-management skills Strong communication skills and attention to detail For further information on this opportunity, or if you are considering the next step in your career, get in touch with Jasmin Yasin at HireIQ in complete confidence.
