Working closely with Partners and Directors, you'll play a key role in providing both advisory and compliance services, developing long-term client relationships and supporting the continued growth of the Private Client offering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of Private Client Tax clients, delivering both advisory and compliance services
  • Provide advice across Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, Trust Taxation, Residence & Domicile, Property Tax and Personal Tax planning
  • Review self-assessment tax returns prepared by junior members of the team
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and deliver commercially focused advice tailored to clients' individual circumstances
  • Build and strengthen long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser
  • Support Partners and Directors on complex advisory projects, including succession planning, wealth preservation and estate planning
  • Manage client deadlines, workflow and billing across your portfolio
  • Mentor, coach and develop junior members of the Private Client Tax team
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Tax and Advisory teams to deliver integrated client solutions
  • Contribute to business development activities and identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships
  • Your Experience
  • CTA qualified (or ACA/ACCA with significant Private Client Tax experience)
  • Strong experience managing a portfolio of Private Client Tax clients within an accountancy practice
  • Excellent technical knowledge across UK Personal Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax
  • Experience providing both advisory and compliance services to high-net-worth individuals, business owners and trusts
  • Strong client relationship management skills with a commercial approach to delivering tax advice
  • Experience reviewing work and mentoring junior team members
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ambitious and motivated to progress within a growing and highly regarded Private Client Tax team
