About the Company:

HireIQ are delighted to be partnering with a long-established Northern Ireland Practice to recruit a tax professional to join their growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual, who's ready to take the next step in their career, to join a well-established finance team and continue to build their experience, while gaining exposure to a wide client base.

About the Role:

  • Preparation of Private Client tax returns for Tax clients for first review by a Senior, with minimal adjustments required
  • Assisting in the preparation of the final Personal Tax computations and returns for approval and subsequent submission to HMRC
  • Assisting with technical research and advice in respect of core elements of the Private Client tax compliance process (for example, deductibility of expenses, capital allowances, Rental Adjustments)
  • Telephone calls with HMRC in respect of basic queries (examples include in relation to chasing the processing of repayments)
  • Able to complete basic tax returns/accounts including employment and simple investment income from collated information supplied
  • Access HMRC websites to provide information for a Senior
  • An understanding of tax affairs (example tax codes, tax rates, allowable expenditure)

About you:

  • Qualified or Part Qualified ATT/CTA/ACA/ACCA/CA or Qualified by Experience considered
  • Prior experience in private client tax (preferred)
  • Previous practice experience
  • Excellent communication skills
