About the Job Reporting to the relevant Finance/Payroll management team, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll, ensuring compliance with statutory legislation and internal policies. You will provide payroll support and advice to employees and management while maintaining accurate and confidential payroll records. Key responsibilities will include: Process monthly payroll accurately and within agreed deadlines. Verify timekeeping records and investigate and resolve discrepancies. Calculate salaries, overtime, shift payments, allowances, bonuses and other earnings. Process statutory payments including sick pay and maternity/paternity pay. Process payroll deductions including PAYE, National Insurance, pensions, attachment orders and salary sacrifice. Process third-party payments and ensure payments are authorised appropriately. Prepare and distribute payroll reports and statements. Respond to employee and management queries relating to payroll. Prepare payroll reports and information for senior management, Finance and auditors. Support internal and external payroll audits, providing information as required. Maintain compliance with HMRC legislation, pension regulations and employment legislation. Process pension enrolments, opt-outs and contribution changes. Reconcile pension deductions and provide accurate information to pension providers. Administer payroll-related benefits and deductions. Maintain accurate employee pay records and ensure payroll information is kept up to date. Handle all payroll information confidentially and in line with GDPR requirements. Previous Experience Payroll qualification OR at least 2 years' experience processing end-to-end payroll. Previous experience working within a payroll environment. Good knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments and pensions. Experience using payroll software and Microsoft Excel. Experience reconciling payroll data and investigating discrepancies. Excellent numerical and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Ability to work to strict deadlines and under pressure. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately. Right to work in the UK. Desirable ROI payroll knowledge. Membership of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP).
