About the Job Working within an experienced accountancy team, the Trainee Accountant / Junior Accountant will gain valuable exposure across a broad range of client assignments while developing their technical skills and working towards a professional accounting qualification.
This position would suit a graduate, trainee or part-qualified candidate who is keen to establish themselves within practice and gain practical experience across accounts, audit, tax and bookkeeping.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Preparation Assist with preparing accounts for a varied portfolio of clients. Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting working papers. Audit Assist with audit assignments from initial planning through to completion. Prepare and maintain audit documentation and working papers. Liaise with clients to gather required financial information. Tax Support the completion of tax compliance work. Assist with preparing tax documentation and returns. Develop technical accounting and commercial awareness through practical experience.
Previous Experience Degree, diploma or master's qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related subject. Trainee and part-qualified candidates will be considered. Previous experience within an accountancy practice is beneficial but not essential. Genuine interest in developing a career within accountancy practice. Willingness and commitment to study towards a professional accounting qualification.
