The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join the business in a key leadership position within the finance function. Working closely with the Finance Director and wider Senior Leadership Team, this role offers significant exposure across the organisation and the opportunity to influence strategic direction. This is an ideal move for an accountant looking to step into a senior role with responsibility for strengthening financial controls, driving process improvements, and leading a high-performing finance team.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the year-end process, including statutory accounts preparation and audit management
  • Supporting the Finance Director with strategic financial planning and decision-making
  • Ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting
  • Enhancing financial controls, systems, and internal processes
  • Business partnering with senior stakeholders on major capital projects and strategic initiatives
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing the accounting services team
  • Driving service delivery improvements across the wider finance function

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Leadership Skills
  • Strong IT Skills - Excel
