An great opportunity has developed in a growing local business that operates throughout N.I for an aspiring accountant to join an established finance department. This role will allow for further development and career progression for the right candidate into a qualified accountant position.

About the Company

A Market Leader in its specialism, and operating throughout the province, this company has recently went through exponential growth and is looking to add to their existing finance team. About the Role

The successful candidate who will report to the FC and Accountant, will be responsible for assisting with and completing the following duties:

  • Prepare monthly journals and provide performance insights for the site.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Report and analyse cost of sales performance, explaining variances against budget and forecast.
  • Prepare and share weekly yield and product price variance reports with insights.
  • Reconcile reports to the general ledger, including GRIR accounts and supplier statements, and process ad-hoc payments.
  • Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, and year-end accounts.
  • Produce daily and performance KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company procedures.

Essential Criteria

  • Third Level Finance/ Business Qualification (Desirable)
  • Studying (Or planning to) ACCA or CIMA Qualification (Study Support will be provided)
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment (desirable)
  • Good IT skills with previous experience of Excel, Word and Outlook (Experience with Excel Desirable)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exhibit excellent organisational skills and attention to detail along with a proven ability to meet deadlines
