An outstanding opportunity for an experienced Credit Control professional to join a local accounts team in the Armagh area.

About the Job

Reporting to the Credit Control Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of the company's accounts function.

Debt Management: Proactively manage cash collection, customer credit risk, and overdue accounts to minimise bad debt, maintain effective credit controls, and support working capital targets.

Customer Management: Prompt resolution of customer queries, management of customer records, advising on payment solutions for large orders, and supporting customer review meetings with key stakeholders.

Team Management: Continuous process improvement, develop and lead a high performing team through training and mentoring, and supporting the team with escalated customer and debt-related issues, promoting excellent service and compliance with company policies.

Data Analysis and Monthly Reporting: Prepare monthly credit performance reports for management reporting, manage month end changes to customer records, set debt collection forecasts and support month-end reporting and invoicing activities, and check consolidated invoices/statements are processed.

Credit Risk: Review and approve new account applications, setting appropriate credit terms and limits, monthly customer credit limit review, ad hoc credit limit approvals, and monitor and release held orders whilst minimising risk and maximising sales.

Skills and Experience: A minimum of 2 years experience in a Credit Control Team Lead role in a similar size organisation managing a team. Strong knowledge of credit control processes and debt collection techniques. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Experience of managing and developing a team. Experience in a shared service environment.
