A high-growth business in Antrim is seeking a Company Accountant to join their team, working closely with the Managing Director. You will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient running of the accounts function, ensuring the delivery of timely and accurate management accounts, while supporting the company in maximising profitability, performance and cash flow. Working with the management team, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting it and driving financial control across the business. The position would suit someone who is articulate, commercially aware, methodical and capable of building strong relationships across all departments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Produce monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, annual budgets and year-end statutory files.
  • Processing of payroll and ensuring all payroll administration is up to date.
  • Oversight of financial control and reporting.
  • Provide timely reports to departmental managers.
  • Cashflow management.
  • Ensuring HMRC compliance for VAT, PAYE and corporation tax.
  • Leading a small team of accounts colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or QBE.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Leadership skills.
