I am working with a well-established and growing manufacturing organisation on their Accounts and Office Manager position. This is a senior, hands-on role responsible for overseeing day-to-day finance operations alongside office administration and statutory compliance.

What We're Looking For:

  • Part-qualified accountant, accounts technician, or 5 years experience within finance, combined with office management
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage accounting software
  • Extensive experience across payroll, VAT, CIS, and financial reporting
  • Experience within a manufacturing or similar environment is advantageous

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day finance and office operations, handling internal and external queries
  • Maintain accurate accounting records, including bank reconciliations, Sage updates, and spreadsheet reporting
  • Manage aged debtors and creditors, credit control activities, and payment follow-ups
  • Process weekly and ad hoc payments, including subcontractor payments
  • Reconcile petty cash and company credit cards
  • Support payroll administration, weekly wages, expenses, and payroll-related queries
  • Prepare and submit CIS, PAYE, VAT, and international tax returns in line with statutory deadlines
  • Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Perform costing analysis, valuation reviews, and KPI reconciliations
