I am working with a well-established and growing manufacturing organisation on their Accounts and Office Manager position. This is a senior, hands-on role responsible for overseeing day-to-day finance operations alongside office administration and statutory compliance.
What We're Looking For:
- Part-qualified accountant, accounts technician, or 5 years experience within finance, combined with office management
- Strong working knowledge of Sage accounting software
- Extensive experience across payroll, VAT, CIS, and financial reporting
- Experience within a manufacturing or similar environment is advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day finance and office operations, handling internal and external queries
- Maintain accurate accounting records, including bank reconciliations, Sage updates, and spreadsheet reporting
- Manage aged debtors and creditors, credit control activities, and payment follow-ups
- Process weekly and ad hoc payments, including subcontractor payments
- Reconcile petty cash and company credit cards
- Support payroll administration, weekly wages, expenses, and payroll-related queries
- Prepare and submit CIS, PAYE, VAT, and international tax returns in line with statutory deadlines
- Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Perform costing analysis, valuation reviews, and KPI reconciliations
