Lead and execute group financial control activities, translating the Financial Control strategy into priorities and delivery plans Manage the Financial Control team member’s tasks, performance reviews, and development Coach less experienced team members and promote continuous improvement, learning, openness, and trust Lead the production of the CIFF UK annual report and subsidiary financial statements Coordinate financial audits, provide audit evidence, resolve findings, and negotiate with external auditors Prepare the charity commission return Apply technical accounting knowledge and develop processes and policies for changes affecting financial statements Ensure tax returns and compliance forms are prepared accurately and on time Manage tax notices with local advisers and authorities Oversee group transfer pricing requirements and monitor relevant organizational and regulatory changes Ensure compliance with UK HMRC requirements and monitor changes to UK tax and financial regulations Control non-charitable expenditure through review, challenge, training, and policy management Monitor accounting and payment transactions, with a focus on non-charitable transactions Deputise for the Head of Financial Control (Group), including monitoring charitable expenditure payments and accounting Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed periodically Manage multi-currency cash proactively, maintain liquidity, and maximize returns Manage relationships with CIFF's banking operations on administration, regulations, and accounts Lead month-end procedures and reconciliations, investigate reconciling items, and resolve them promptly Maintain and develop controls over CIFF assets, liabilities, income, and expenditure, including policies and frameworks Maintain the finance risk control framework, investigate risks, implement controls, and report to senior leadership Develop group accounting policies and ensure adherence across group and regional entities Review global payrolls and payroll tax compliance, and oversee the outsourced provider and HR controls Maintain CIFF finance systems and ensure they support reporting and analysis with appropriate controls Develop policies for the chart of accounts and accounting filing system Standardize and streamline group processes, improve controls, mitigate risks, and automate processes using systems and AI tools Deliver finance and tax regulatory training for CIFF support and program teams Monitor and report on endowment funds as directed Prepare materials for subsidiary board meetings and Finance, Audit and Investment Committee papers Support annual CIFF Carbon Footprint calculations and improve their scope, population, and methodology Track and apply developments in carbon-footprint methodology Collaborate with the CIFF Head of Compliance to assess and control modern slavery risks in the Operating Expenditure vendor population Support carbon reporting, carbon offset calculations, Annual Report disclosures, accounting, and payments

Требования

Qualified accountant with relevant post-qualification experience Advanced knowledge and experience in complex income tax and financial regulations Understanding of FRS102 and/or SORP accounting and Charity Commission requirements Experience with UK company tax filings and returns Understanding of UK financial, tax, and charity commission risks and proportionate mitigating controls Operational mindset and attention to detail, with the ability to manage day-to-day activities accurately and maintain supporting documents Treasury experience, including cash management Strong organizational skills and ability to deliver under time pressure while managing multiple workstreams Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills and advanced IT proficiency, especially Microsoft Suite, Excel, and Copilot Ability to build relationships, influence others, collaborate, and challenge senior internal and external stakeholders when necessary Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team Ability to solve problems and initiate improvements Ability to take ownership, anticipate customer needs, and flag potential issues early Будет плюсом: experience with Business Central, JET reporting, and Power BI; self-starter with pace, resilience, and motivation to work in the not-for-profit sector; project experience developing financial systems to automate processes; experience in organizations of different sizes, including SMEs and large organizations

Starting salary of £63,790, with a competitive salary

• Annual leave: 25 days per annum, increasing by 1 day after each year of service to a maximum of 30 days
