Job description
HireGiant are looking for a Wedler Fabricator for a a very well established and successful fabrication company specialising in medium/heavy fabrications, established for over 45 years and accredited to ISO9001, BS EN 1090-2 Exc 3 and BS EN3834-2.
Due to continued growth and a very healthy order book, they are currently looking for experienced fabricators/welders to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
MIG welding, fabrication and development on bespoke steel fabrications in a heavy engineering environment.
Using varying workshop tools, plant and machinery.
Working from engineering drawings & specifications.
Expert level of building parts/assemblies to engineering drawings.
Welding to a high quality.
Measuring and marking out plate and sections for cutting, shaping and drilling.
Adherence to all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed:
Confident plater or fabricator Ideally apprentice trained or relevant qualifications Confident MIG Welder Experience operating fabrication machinery Must have worked within a heavy steel industry Confident working from engineering drawings from scratch.
Working Hours
Day Shift
Monday to Thursday
06:00 to 16:30
Any work on a Friday is overtime and paid at time and a half.

Rate of Pay - Days £16.00ph, £18.00ph
Overtime Rate Time/half - Overtime currently available
18 days pro rata for 4 day week plus
