This is a great opportunity for a permanent position working with an excellent company.
Pay and Hours
- £14 to £15 per hour, depending on experience.
- Weekly paid every Friday.
- Working Monday to Friday 06:00 to 14:30.
Key Responsibilities
- Material Preparation, reading blueprints and work orders to determine client specifications, dimensions, and glass thickness.
- Cutting & Shaping, using glass cutting tools and machines to score and break flat glass or mirrors cleanly.
- Quality Assurance, Inspecting glass for scratches, chips, or bad cuts before and after processing.
- Equipment Maintenance, cleaning and maintain cutting tables, replacing cutting wheels and oils as needed.
- Safely packing finished pieces for shipment, stack glass on racks, and properly disposing of any scrap.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Experience using a Laminate Table or Bottero Table.
- Confident using a Vertical Saw.
- Previous Glass Cutting experience.
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Basic math skills for precise measurements and yield calculations.
- Familiarity with reading blueprints or technical drawings.
- Physical stamina, as the role often involves standing for long periods and lifting heavy panes of glass.
