We are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 Drivers for a well-established general haulage operator based in Rugeley (WS15 1QU). This role offers consistent afternoon and evening starts, straightforward curtain-side work, and ongoing shifts for reliable drivers.
As a Class 1 Driver, your duties will include:
- Completing general haulage deliveries and collections
- Driving curtain-side articulated vehicles
- Making 13 drops per shift depending on route
- Ensuring loads are secured correctly and transported safely
- Completing PODs, delivery notes, and transport paperwork
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
Hours:
- Start times between 3:00pm and 6:00pm
- Typical shifts of 10-12 hours
- Monday to Friday ongoing work
- Weekend work available
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence
- Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 1 general haulage experience preferred
- Maximum 6 points on licence (no DR/DD/IN)
- Safety boots & hi-vis vest
