Here at HireGiant we're currently looking for a Setter Operative for our client based in Kirkby-in-Ashfield. The Setter Operative will be required to work Monday to Friday on days, this role will be working in a manufacturing environment. You shall be responsible to produce timber products for new build sites and housing projects; you will use a truss press/gantry press to attach gang plates to wooden beams to make roof trusses. You will need to be hands on and proactive.
Details regarding the Setter Operative role: The Setter Operative who will be responsible for setting up jigs to match specifications in our clients roof truss department but also leading and motivating staff and driving the workforce, to secure daily targets. Our candidate requires the individual to have a good approach towards health and safety compliance and to adhere to all their processes and procedures. Also to oversee the planned preventable maintenance on machinery to minimise downtime. Ensuring quality controls carried out and a constant visual inspection on the finished products, our client will expect the candidate to lead by example with excellent leadership/communication skills and a hands-on approach to problem solving.

Senior Setter Operative Hours: Shift- Monday to Friday Start time - 07:00am Finish time - 16:30pm Early finish on Fridays!
The hourly rates Setter Operatives is: up to £14.90 per hour - PAYE - Weekly pay. The rate includes your year bonus when perm.
