We are now recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for a major logistics & distribution company based in Coventry. This role offers ongoing, full-time work, consistent hours, and clean Class 1 driving with the potential for permanent contracts if you do well.
If you're an experienced C+E driver with fridge trailer experience, this is a brilliant opportunity with immediate starts available.
As a HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering to RDCs, NDCs, supermarkets, and major retail chains
- Working with fridge trailers and curtain-sider trailers
- Completing 24 drops or collections per shift
- Carrying out trunking and store delivery work
- Completing all PODs, delivery notes and paperwork accurately
- Following all site and road safety procedures
- Performing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects promptly
Hours & Pay:
- Monday to Friday, no weekends required
- Start Times: 05:00 - 07:00
- Shifts: 10-12 hours
- Pay: £20.00 per hour (PAYE)
- Weekly pay every Friday
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Valid CPC & Digi Tacho
- Fridge trailer experience essential
- Minimum 2 years Class 1 experience
- Maximum 6 points (no DR10, DD, IN10)
- Safety boots & hi-vis
