HireGiant are looking for a reliable and professional Class 1 Driver to work with our client based in Lutterworth. This is an ongoing role doing 2-3 deliveries per day, with the possibility of the odd collection/back load. This involves long and mid-distance work.
Your responsibilities as a HGV 1 driver will include:
- Completing deliveries of general haulage to businesses & RDCs
- Driving the class 1 curtain side trailer in a safe manner
- No handball; this is a nice haulage role
- Ensuring all paperwork and PODs are completed accurately
- Maintaining excellent customer service standards
Requirements for the Class 1 driver:
- Valid HGV 1 (Category C+E) Licence
- Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card
- Strapping and reversing competence
- New pass LGV 1 Drivers welcome; training and support provided
- HGV LTD drivers welcome
Hours & Pay for the Class 1 HGV Driver:
- Start times between 6.00am - 07:00am
- Shifts: 10-12 hours depending on route
- Pay rate: £16.50 - £18.00 per hour
