HireGiant are looking for a reliable and professional Class 1 Driver to work with our client based in Corby. This is an ongoing role doing 2-3 deliveries per night, with the possibility of the odd collection/back load. This is long and mid-distance work.
Your responsibilities as a HGV1 driver will include:
- Completing deliveries of general haulage to businesses & RDCs
- Driving the class 1 curtainside trailer in a safe manner (no handball)
- Ensuring all paperwork and PODs are completed accurately
- Maintaining excellent customer service standards
Requirements for the Class 1 driver:
- Valid HGV 1 (Category C+E) Licence
- Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card
- Strapping and reversing competence
- New pass LGV1 Drivers welcome (training and support provided)
- HGV LTD drivers welcome
Hours & Pay for the Class 1 HGV Driver:
- Start times between 19:00 - 20:00
- Shifts: 10-12 hours depending on route
- PAYE Pay rate: £17.50 - £18.50 per hour
