7.5 Tonne driver HireGiant are currently looking for several 7.5 tonne drivers for a well established client based within Northampton (NN4) The Role The job involves the delivery of bulk items to businesses and private addresses. Where there are deliveries to private addresses, these are door step deliveries only. Driving – 7.5 T vehicles with taillifts Start time 07-45 hrs (will be earlier where an induction is required. Approx a 8-9 hour working window Deliveries can fall in to several categories – standard ON – No time deliver during the the day – AM – delivery before 12 noon – 0930 – delivery by 0930. The timed deliveries are premium deliveries and must be achieved. Each route has dedicated collection customers which start in the afternoon normally from 1300 hrs Use of electronic PDA to complete deliveries, take images and obtain customer signatures. Delivery rounds are in – NN – MK – some LE & PE postal areas. Freight – some heavy lifting and handling of freight in the process – Freight can be loose loaded/palletised. All drivers have pump truck and sack barrow to support in the process along with a taillift. Full Traffic office support to assist with incorrect addresses / challenges throughout the day. Adherence to WTD & AETR regulations a must. Average number of drops can be up to 20 drops and some of these will be to same location. Ideally drivers should have their own LGV Tom Tom/Sat Navigation. All vehicles fitted with telematics and CCTV to support in the event of an incident. Requirements *Drivers must be physically fit with a can do attitude and excellent communication.
