As a Commercial Account Executive, you will play a pivotal role in building and nurturing enduring client relationships, delivering bespoke insurance advice, and developing tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of each client. Serving as the primary point of contact, you will ensure a seamless and positive client experience by providing expert guidance and outstanding service. Your proactive approach will drive business performance and revenue growth, with a strong emphasis on achieving excellent customer outcomes, client satisfaction, and sustainable business results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain robust client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and leveraging the full breadth of PIB’s resources.
  • Assess client requirements and deliver bespoke solutions across insurance, risk management, and employee benefits.
  • Provide exceptional service by reviewing, arranging, and securing optimal coverage at competitive rates.
  • Drive income growth and client retention by enhancing transaction activity, including ISBs and bursaries where appropriate, while consistently meeting clients’ insurance needs.
  • Monitor and manage your own performance, providing accurate forecasts and tracking progress against business objectives.
  • Build and manage a profitable portfolio of general insurance business through effective use of insurer panels to achieve branch goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the best outcomes for clients and support group-wide initiatives, including Advisory.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients and insurers to maximise business opportunities and achieve key performance indicators.
  • Place insurance business within authority limits, referring complex cases to the Regional Broking/Branch Director as required.
  • Continuously review and update client insurance programmes, keeping clients informed of market developments.
  • Manage general broking tasks, including handling client queries, new business, renewals, adjustments, and ensuring clear communication of terms and pricing.
  • Conduct insurer surveys, implement risk improvements, and manage diaries to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure timely and compliant processing across core systems, utilising PIB’s platforms for accurate management and reporting.
  • Document meetings and communicate relevant actions to the client service team.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Report and assist in resolving breaches, complaints, and errors, while seeking continuous improvement based on QA and compliance feedback.
  • Liaise with Finance and Credit Control to resolve queries promptly.
  • Participate in meetings, events, and training sessions to fulfil CPD requirements.

  • Highly organised, with the ability to effectively plan and prioritise your workload to meet both client and business needs.
