We are looking for two motivated Legal Assistants to join our Legal Shared Services team, supporting either our Litigation & Regulatory team or our Property & Estates team. These are excellent opportunities for aspiring legal professionals to gain broad experience within a busy and supportive local government legal service. You will provide high-quality legal and administrative support, helping to ensure the efficient delivery of legal advice and casework to the Council and partner organisations.
Working closely with lawyers and legal professionals, you will manage files and workflows, prepare and process legal documentation, liaise with clients, courts, tribunals and external organisations, and maintain accurate, compliant and audit-ready records. You will also support hearings, transactions and legal processes as appropriate to your area of work. In addition, you will have the opportunity to manage a small caseload of straightforward matters under supervision, allowing you to develop your legal knowledge and practical experience.

About you
You will hold a paralegal or similar qualification or equivalent experience and have a genuine interest in developing your legal career within a busy and professional legal service. You will be:

Experience of working within a legal environment, including litigation, property or contracts work, would be advantageous. Most importantly, you will bring enthusiasm, a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering a responsive, efficient and professional legal support service.
