About the role
In this role, you will oversee the implementation, management, and delivery of all electrical, fire detection, door entry, lift, CCTV, and digital TV installations with the Council’s supply partners. Responsibilities include repair, maintenance, and major projects for both existing and new Council housing installations.
About you
You will oversee projects from start to completion with minimal supervision, including budget management, preparing specifications and drawings, contract procurement, and supervising electrical works for the Council’s housing stock. A HNC/HND in Building Surveying/Construction with work experience in a similar role is preferred, or degree in Building Surveying or relevant Electrical qualification. Strong working knowledge of building defects and solutions is also required. Knowledge of housing legislation, best practices for repairs and maintenance, CDM, and Building Regulations is essential.
