This senior position plays a key role in developing accurate, competitive tenders for mechanical and building services projects.
Reporting to the Head of Estimating & Sales, you\’ll help shape winning bids and ensure strong financial control from tender to project handover.
Location: Greenford, West London (and surrounding areas)
Salary: between £85,000 – 90,000 depending on experience
Benefits: 28 days holiday, 5% pension
What you\’ll do:
- Prepare and submit tenders, ensuring solid cost bases and minimal risk
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather true market costs
- Support pre-construction processes, including value engineering and cost analysis
- Assist with the development of estimating systems, cost libraries, and best practices
- Train and mentor junior estimators as part of a growing team
What we\’re looking for:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator (ideally senior level) in the building services/M&E sector
- Strong knowledge of estimating processes, take-offs, margins, and commercial management
- Skilled communicator, able to negotiate confidently with stakeholders at all levels
- Competent with estimating software and Excel
- Ability to assess site conditions and read technical drawings/specifications
