About Our Home / Hub
Heartwood House is a semi‑detached home on a quiet residential street in Rotherham. It features a spacious driveway, a rear garden with a planned play area, and is close to local parks, schools, and transport links. We have provided the safety essentials; we need you to lead the final décor, set‑ups, and team build.
The Role
Oversee the daily operations of a new two‑bed specialised home, supporting children who may exhibit behaviours linked to unmet needs, trauma, and complex learning disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Leading with PACE: Create a warm, low‑arousal environment, shape the therapeutic culture, and mentor the support team.
- Building Your Team: Recruit, induct, and develop a stable, highly specialised staff team, delivering regular supervision and appraisal.
- Achieving Compliance: Direct the imminent Ofsted registration, manage the budget, and lead on Regulation 45 quality assurance.
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager or experienced Deputy Manager with deep understanding of Ofsted regulations.
- Strong leadership capabilities, excellent multi‑agency communication, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Approachable, resilient, and a strong advocate who is open to feedback and solutions‑focused.
- Full UK driving licence, right to work in the UK, and willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
- Minimum part‑qualified with NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (we will fund and support the rest).
Desirable
- Fully qualified with NVQ Level 5 and established experience in a registered children’s home.
