Are you a confident, practical HR generalist looking for a role with real ownership, autonomy, and influence, who is available for a 14-month fixed term contract? This iconic brand has its manufacturing site in the centre of Northampton and is looking for a Senior HR Advisor (or HRBP) to join them in November. This is a broad, hands-on generalist position where you will partner directly with managers to deliver people activities across Employee Relations, Recruitment, Training, Engagement, etc.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Offer clear and practical advice to line managers on people challenges in their teams (workforce planning, training needs, performance and conduct issues).
- Partner with the HR Director to deliver the People strategy for the operation, as they modernise and evolve a very traditional industry.
- This is a small team of 2 so you’ll be doing all your own admin, across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
- Design and deliver a variety of training, culture and engagement activities across different groups of employees, from managers to operatives.
- Be the first point of contact for all employees and managers (140 people total) as a visible, approachable and personable HR support to the team.
What We Are Looking For:
- Proven generalist HR experience with strong knowledge of UK employment law and ACAS guidelines.
- Confident Employee Relations skills with the ability to hold challenging conversations and provide decisive advice.
- Background working in HR within manufacturing, warehousing or other industrial environment.
- Happy to be on site 5 days per week (you can work from home on Friday afternoons if you wish!).
