Job Description

Are you a Manufacturing Engineer who lives for smarter workflows, smoother production lines, and the quiet satisfaction of seeing a process run exactly as it should?

If you naturally spot inefficiencies, question bottlenecks, and think in terms of continuous improvement, then this role will feel like home.

Salary circa £40,000 depending on the level of your skills and experience, plus excellent benefits including healthcare cover, generous holiday entitlement, pension and more!

A key part of the manufacturing operation, you’ll focus on optimising production processes and workflows across the entire product life cycle.

From analysing existing methods to implementing high-quality, cost-effective solutions, you’ll help the business deliver consistent output, strong yields, and reliable production schedules.

The site is located just south of Middlesbrough, easily commutable from Darlington, Hartlepool, Stockton, Redcar, Peterlee, etc.

What you'll be doing:

  • Optimise and maintain manufacturing engineering processes in line with quality standards (including ISO 9001).
  • Ensure robust designs and processes that support product yield, quality and time targets.
  • Champion design-for-manufacture principles across the product lifecycle.
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
  • Identify and eliminate waste to improve cost, quality and efficiency.
  • Manage multiple projects and clearly communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Support production teams with day-to-day challenges and KPIs.
  • Ability to obtain MoD/Military security clearance where required.

What you need:

  • Degree level, Apprenticeship, HND or equivalent in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or similar
  • Practical experience working in Electrical and/or Electronic production engineering
  • Proficient in electronics fault finding, soldering, electrical wiring
  • Strong problem solving skills including root cause analysis techniques, 8D, etc.
  • Ideally knowledge of programming languages, PLC's and robotics (but not essential)

If you’re ready to shape how products are built, improve how teams work, and leave processes better than you found them every single day — we’d love to hear from you. Apply today.
