Location: South West London (Central Office is based in Mortlake – 12 mins from Clapham Junction and 23 mins from Waterloo)

Contract: Temporary

Job Type: Part time – Choose from 24.5 hours to 28 hours per week. Some out of office hours work may be required.

Salary: £65,000 to £70,000 pro rata

Benefits: 28 days annual leave per annum/pro rata plus statutory holidays on appointment. Additional annual leave days awarded on length of service. Company pension contribution. THE IMPACT YOU WILL HAVE

The Interim Director of Fundraising and Communications is an essential leadership role, at a key moment of growth. You will be responsible for driving income generation and awareness raising to deliver their impact and vision, building on record income in 2025/26. Providing inspiring leadership, exceptional expertise and a grounded approach to continue a step‐change. This role will work in close collaboration across the organisation, including with the Interim CEO who has previously led the function.

You will mix strategic direction setting with senior level delivery of activity, overseeing all fundraising streams, communications, marketing and supporter engagement. You will develop integrated strategies that maximise the resources available, grow sustainable income, amplify their impact and ensure the charity communicates with clarity, consistency, and purpose.

You will lead an incredible team of fundraisers, marketeers and communicators to deliver to organisational plans, whilst developing longer term thinking to extend their reach and their income. You will provide a high standard and quality at every turn, upholding the charity's values, to work proactively and independently to build relationships, inspire the department, and bring even greater focus on income generation across the charity. The role provides an exceptional opportunity for you to leave your mark.

ABOUT YOU

  • Significant experience of working at a senior level in a charity fundraising and communication role;
  • Successfully led income generation in excess of £2.5m per year;
  • Experience of working directly with CEO and Boards of Trustees, as well as managing senior team members;
  • High level of ability to form positive and influential relationships with internal and external people including at senior levels, and working sensitively with people who have lived experience of a cause;
  • Sound understanding of the voluntary sector as well as regulatory framework for fundraising;
  • Right to work in the UK.
