Are you a commercial, qualified or finalist accountant with strong expertise in fixed asset accounting? Come and lead on the management and financial reporting of the property and fixed asset portfolios across a large, complex organisation. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Accountant, you will drive fixed asset control, oversee capital accounting, and play a pivotal role in Group year-end financial statements, statutory accounts, and joint venture reporting. This is a hybrid role working 2 days per week at the Liverpool City Centre HQ (please note: you will be in the office more than this for onboarding/training) and pays a salary circa £46,000 What you'll be doing: Fixed Asset Leadership: Lead accounting for property and asset registers, including acquisitions, disposals, depreciation, component accounting, and grant funding. Financial Reporting & Control: Prepare statutory accounts and disclosures for subsidiaries and joint ventures while maintaining robust balance sheet reconciliations. Regulatory & Strategic Insight: Deliver financial reporting for regulatory bodies (including Homes England) and provide advice on capital investment activities. Process Improvement: Enhance financial systems, controls, and processes to drive value for money and service excellence. What you need: Qualifications: Qualified or finalist accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, or equivalent). Technical Expertise: Solid background in fixed asset accounting within a complex organisation (housing, property, or joint venture experience is advantageous). Core Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, excellent stakeholder management, and a proactive, continuous-improvement mindset.
