Heritage Transport Driver


Location: Dudley, West Midlands
Pay rate: £13.00 per hour
Contract: Part-Time, Permanent
Hours: 15.5 hours per week (peak season) and 6.75 hours per week (off-peak) - including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays

Our client is seeking a Heritage Transport Driver to join their Historic Character team. Being home to the world\'s largest collection of Black Country manufactured vehicles, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Transport Driver to get behind the wheel of some of the most iconic vehicles in the Black Country.

They are currently developing stories that explore the experiences of people with heritage from South Asia and the Caribbean.

They are interested in hearing from anyone who may have knowledge and be able to share, engage and inform their visitors of migration experiences arriving from the above regions and working in the Black Country during the 1940s, 50s and 60s. If you feel able to engage with their visitors in telling authentic migration stories from the Black Country of this time, they would like to hear from you!

What will you be doing?

• Driving a variety of their heritage vehicles with adherence to safety procedures.
• Providing banksman support to direct vehicle movement on and around the site.
• Engaging knowledgeably and respectfully with their visitors to reflect lived experiences of the Black Country.
• Collaborating with a variety of teams to achieve inclusive customer service to all visitors.

What are we looking for?

• Full Clean UK Driving Licence.
• Experience as a transport driver.
