Working for this well-established commercial food product manufacturer and supplier as a Food Development Technologist, you’ll have the opportunity to get hands on with a mixture of both factory and office food development. This is a 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract. Salary – Up to £42,000 Per Annum Location – Nottingham Role Type – Full Time / 12 Month FTC / Mon-Thu / 8:30-5 / Fridays 8:30-4 Benefits – 25 days annual leave + BH, Pension 5% and 3%, 2 Volunteering Days per year, Onsite Parking, Staff Canteen, Health and well-being support and welfare community groups, Online and high street discount portal The Role You’ll work closely with kitchen development technologists to create new foods for supermarkets and clients to try. The process involves creating a product that tastes great, then once customer buy in is achieved it’s about scaling that product to be mass produced. This role involves trial and error, testing tolerances and variances, weighing and ensuring the product can meet the requirements of mass production. It will be a mix of hands-on factory work which provides data that will need to be logged and stored in order to further develop the product. We are looking for someone who has been doing a similar role with food manufacturing experience within an FMCG environment who possesses HACCP / Food Safety Training.
